Run parallel coding agents in separate worktrees
Aiola puts threads, worktrees, Terminals and a task board beside coding agents in one macOS and Windows desktop app. Run agents at once in separate checkouts and follow blocked tasks.
Key facts
Isolate parallel agents with worktrees
Open one thread per task, and choose Worktree so that agent edits its own checkout and branch. Choose Local when an agent should edit the active checkout. You still review diffs and resolve merge conflicts before combining branches.
Watch every agent from one window
Terminals keeps Split and Canvas layouts with terminal, browser and chat panes. You stop juggling a terminal window per agent, and threads can pop out into their own windows. Queue a follow-up turn while an agent is still running.
Track blocked work on one board
Tasks uses nine statuses, including In Progress, Blocked and Human Review. A task can mention files, issues, log groups and feedback items, so its agent starts with the brief. Moving a task to In Progress starts its agent, and Create PR starts pull-request creation.
Follow the workflow
- Add each repository as a workspace in the desktop app.
- Create a task for each job and set its run mode to Worktree or Local.
- Start the agent threads with the provider accounts you already have.
- Watch the threads in Terminals using Split or Canvas.
- Queue a follow-up, or stop the turn and clear the held messages.
- Review the diff and checks, then move the task to Create PR when ready.
What to review at the end
- Parallel threads in separate worktrees, so working files stay apart.
- A task board that shows In Progress, Blocked and Human Review.
- Pull-request creation that starts when a task moves to Create PR.
