Aiola Workspaces

Give every project a home.

Switching repositories means rebuilding context when chats, plans, and settings live in different places. Aiola gives each repository its own workspace, with Central combining views across projects. Threads, tasks, GitHub, logs, and analytics stay attached to the right project in one desktop app.

How it works

01

Add a repository

Open a local folder, clone from Git, or import through the terminal. Analyze existing code or generate project rules during onboarding.

02

Describe your project

Open Project Info to edit the profile, brief.md, and existing rules.md. Analyze the codebase to populate project context.

03

Start from Workspace Home

Use the repository composer to start a thread. Review the daily calendar, upcoming work, completion checklist, and overview panel.

Workspace overview

Group workspaces in folders

Drag workspaces into sidebar folders and reorder the rail. Rename folders, set images, or remove groups.

Follow project completion

Track app info, GitHub, first threads, tasks, automations, App Logs, Feedback, and Analytics setup. Completed milestones stay recorded.

Follow today and upcoming work

Open scheduled tasks and automation occurrences from the daily calendar. Upcoming lists the next seven days in the app-wide timezone.

Manage workspace notifications

Open notifications from the overview panel, mark them read, or dismiss them. Unread counts help you find pending updates.

Check health and Analytics

Review setup-health results on Home. The overview panel shows connected Analytics visitors, pageviews, and revenue when available.

Workspace preferences

Manage workspace identity

Rename the project, set its sidebar logo, and inspect its local path. Deleting a workspace offers data cleanup choices.

Choose thread defaults

Set the agent, provider, model, reasoning, permission mode, and supported context window or fast mode for new threads.

Configure task execution

Choose Local or Worktree as the default task execution mode. Configure automatic PR creation after eligible tasks complete.

Configure workspace MCP servers

Add named stdio or HTTP servers in Workspace Settings under MCP Servers. Enable servers and inspect their available tools.

Connect external integrations

Connect Stripe, Google Search Console, and Bing Webmaster Tools through Workspace Settings under Integrations.

Customize dashboard quick prompts

Edit prompt text and icons, add or remove prompts, and restore defaults. Up to five prompts appear below an empty composer.

Write custom analysis instructions

Customize GitHub issue, pull request, Feedback, App Logs, and Analytics analysis prompts. GitHub issue instructions provide the analysis fallback.

Write fix and implementation prompts

Customize issue, failing PR check, bug, feature, App Logs, and indexing fixes. These instructions guide contextual agent threads.

Environment and commands

Scan and edit environment files

Scan, reveal, add, edit, remove, and save variables; compare files and filter shared keys. Check Git exposure and add missing ignore rules to .gitignore.

Create toolbar actions

Add named commands in Environment settings. Edit or delete saved actions and run them from the local toolbar.

Set up an existing repository

  1. Open a local repository or clone it from Git.
  2. Choose I already have code to start a codebase analysis thread.
  3. Review the generated project context in Project Info and save your edits.
  4. Choose thread defaults and start work from Workspace Home.

Keep project rules with the code

Onboarding can generate editable rules from frontend, design, backend, and service selections. Save your brief and rules in the project’s aiola folder. You can also skip setup or start a scaffolding thread.

Common questions

Build, ship and fix in one app

Errors, user feedback, GitHub and analytics live next to your coding agents in one desktop app. Every issue becomes a task an agent can take.
